Cheques distributed among heirs of martyred city wardens

KARACHI: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation KMC Metropolitan Commissioner Samiuddin Siddiqui has presented tribute to the services rendered by City Wardens and announced for providing a job to a family member of martyr city wardens, providing their children with free education and their family members with free treatment in KMC hospitals who were murdered during their duty.

He said while addressing a ceremony held to distribute cheques among family members of martyred city wardens and laying flowers on the monument made in their memory. Sr Director Municipal Services Masood Alam, Director City Wardens, other officers and a good number of city wardens were also present.

Metropolitan Commissioner said that KMC would continue encouraging and patronizing its hard working and dedicated employees and support family members of martyred city wardens, who were murdered during their duty.

He said that city wardens have rendered unique services for citizens of Karachi and it was the best way to praise their services that existing city wardens should not only be encouraged but family members of martyrs be supported as well.

Alam said that city wardens during their services had made excellent example of serving people and along with supporting traffic police on the roads they have also performed services while guiding citizens on the occasion of various religious and other events which were admired by citizens of Karachi.
