Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Muhammad Shahzad Arbab has directed all the concerned authorities to expedite work on special initiatives and said that real change was not only the need of our but was also demand of the general public. Respecting mandate of the public, it was the first responsibility to change and facilitate lives of the people.
This he said while chairing a high level meeting regarding special initiatives of the provincial departments in Peshawar on Wednesday. Besides others, the meeting was attended by provincial secretaries, commissioners and concerned authorities.
The chief secretary said that they could make it possible by using the available resources technically. Cooperation, coordination and collective struggle were the keys of success, he added. He said they would have to promote those values to bring real change.
The chief secretary was briefed on the performance and progress of the departments regarding their special initiatives. He directed the concerned to provide parameters, mechanism and criteria within two weeks.
He emphasized that the work on the public sector schemes and initiatives should not be delayed. Difficulties and hurdles in this connection should be removed so that the same could be presented to the cabinet for approval.
