KARACHI: Chief Secretary Sindh Muhammad Ijaz Chaudhry visited Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) and inquired about the health of eminent social leader Abdul Sattar Edhi who is under treatment.
The chief secretary presented flower vase to him and also conveyed the goodwill message of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to him. He also met SIUT chief Dr Syed Adeebul Hassan Rizvi and appreciated the role of SIUT in provision of treatment facilities to the patients including Edhi.
Chaudhry assured Rizvi of extending cooperation on behalf Sindh government to this effect. He expressed best wishes for Edhi. The chief secretary also met other patients and prayed for their good health.
He also met family members of retired police officer Mirza Abdul Majeed who is seriously ill. He asked Sindh police to look after its retired officer, who has no male family members except wife and two daughters.
Meanwhile, the chief secretary advised secretary health to strictly monitor hospitalized patients through coordinated efforts for betterment of their health. He stressed the need to provide facilities to the patients adequately.
