Citizens suffer as drains overflow in Larkana

Larkana, Sindh: The main roads of Larkana city were overflowing with sewerage water and there was nobody to drain it out on Thursday morning.

Stadium Road, VIP Road, road opposite Ghulam Ali Medical Centre, Lahori Mohalla and other roads were witnessed filled with s drain water due to which people faced a lot of problems.

The worst affected were the vendors of Stadium Road as the customers were unable to reach to their shops. Reliable municipal administration sources told PPI that municipal workers have not received their monthly salaries since December 2013. However, they said the disgruntled workers were not involved in blocking the sewerage drains. There are about 2000 municipal employees who have not received salaries for last three months.
