City: 58% Pakistanis think there should be Agricultural Tax

Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan 58% of Pakistanis think that there should be Agricultural Tax whereas 40% disagree.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “In your opinion, should there be tax on agricultural income?” Responding to this, 58% think that there should be tax on agricultural income while 40% believe that there should be no such tax. However, 2% did not give a view.
The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2667 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during November 26 to December 03.
