CM appeal to general public and political figures to avoid visiting the hospitals

Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has made an appeal to the general public and political figures to avoid visiting the hospitals specially the casualty and emergency wards soon after bomb blasts and to fully cooperate with the hospitals managements in this regard so that the injured people could be provided medical treatment without any hurdle; adding that he himself avoids visiting the causality wards of hospitals after bomb blast so that the management could focus on providing treatment to the injured instead of treating the VIPs.

He was talking to media representatives during his visit to Leady Reading Hospital Peshawar on Monday to inquire about the health of the those injured in the Qissa Khawani Bazzar bomb blast that took place the other day.

The Chief Minister also appealed to the media to cooperate with the hospitals managements in emergency situations and to refrain from visiting the casualty and emergency wards. He directed the LRH management to specify an open area is the hospitals for media persons wherefrom they could perform their professional responsibilities.

During his visit to the hospital the Chief Minister instead of going to the wards went to the office of the Chief Executive and got Information about the health of the injured and the medical treatment being provided to them in the hospitals.

The Chief Minister appreciated the role of the hospital management; Doctors and other staff to provide better treatment facilities to the injured of bomb blast. He strongly condemned the tragic incident of the bomb blast and termed such in incidents as an attempt to sabotage the peace efforts of the government.

The Chief Minister directed the authorities of police to make special arrangements to control the situation in the hospital in emergency situation. He also directed them to strengthen the number of police personnel deputed in the hospitals. The Chief Executive Officer of LRH, Dr. Arshad Javed to apprise the Chief Minister of the treatment facilities being provided to the injured of the bomb blast.
