Peshawar: The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has directed to extend the deadline of the shifting of private schools and hospitals in certain residential areas due to hardships being faced by the general public specially students and patients in this regard.
It is worth mentioning that there were complaints about haphazard commercial activities and traffic problems in Peshawar district and in the city residential areas particular due to which the citizens were facing enormous problems and such complaints were increasing day by day.
The Chief Minister while taking cognizance of these public grievances, ordered to ban the commercial activities in the residential areas and shift such institutions to some other suitable places. Upon this the local administration issued deadline to the concern commercial setups whereafter campaign was started to seal the institutions that violated the directives. Certain private schools and hospitals in residential areas were also affected due to this campaign wherein complaints of suffering thousands of students and patients also surfaced.
The Chief Minister henceforth directed to soften the deadline to give these institutions including schools, hospitals and welfare agencies more time for shifting from the residential areas.
