GWADAR: Balochistan chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said all resources would be mobilized to establish police on modern lines. Imparting training, provision of vehicles and other goods would be ensured.

He was speaking at a briefing here Sturdy. RPO Mekran Range Moazzam Jan Ansari briefed him of police performance and problems and difficulties being confronting police.

Chief Minister said establishing police on modern lines and efforts would be made to minimise its problems and difficulties would be ensured. He said special arrangements were being made for training of police. Police training at local level is needed very much. Police Complexes would be built at Gwadar, Turbat, Panjgur and they would be provided vehicles and weapons shortly. He said special steps were being taken for meeting requirements including bomb disposal squads in all the district as well as Gwadar, Turbat and Panjgur. Police needs modern weapons and communication besides training. It would also be given armored personnel carriers, jammers and other vehicles. He said vacant posts in Police would be filled in soon.

Appreciating measures for changing police culture and checking corruption by RPO he said police check posts must not be allowed for extortions bhatta khori while check posts for security would be encouraged. He said police would be made a modern force sin Mekran so that provincial needs not support of other security agencies.
