LAHORE: Leader of the Pakistan Muslim League – N and Member National Assembly Muhammad Pervez Malik has said that Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif is committed to eradicate menace of dengue and no stone would be left unturned in this regard.
In a press statement issued here Monday, Pervez Malik said that efforts were well underway for eradication of this scourge with a spirit of commitment. Government was aware of the situation and taking all necessary measures on war footing to save people from the disease of dengue.
Pervez Malik said that due to timely measures taken by the government, dengue situation was improving. He said that the government’s machinery was alert and there was no room for negligence or laxity in the efforts against dengue.
He said there is need for implementing anti-dengue regulations in letter and spirit, besides taking stern action under the law against those not following these regulations.
He said that the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has directed to continue anti-dengue spray and fogging and also passed on instructions regarding free medical facilities to the under treatment dengue patients in the private hospitals. He said that the senior professors would remain present at the government hospitals to look after dengue patients during the night as well.
He said that the instructions have been issued for immediate recruitment of necessary staff for continuing the campaign against dengue in an effective manner.
Meanwhile, Pervez Malik urged the masses to play their role as well to overcome the menace of dengue. He said that the people should ensure mosquito killing spray at their homes, offices and other work places. He said no water should be stored at plants, fountains & air coolers, while sewerage should be cleaned regularly, keeping the kids away from playing in the parks at morning and evening.
He said that the government and masses’ joint efforts would be helpful in early removal of this horrible disease.
