QUETTA: SP City Police was suspended by Balochistan Chief Minister following scuffle between policemen and guards of Sardar Sanaullah Zehri at Assembly premises here Thursday.
According to details PMLN Balochistan President Sardar Sanaullah Zehri arrived at the gate of provincial assembly during polling of two seats in Senate today. Police men deployed at the gate stopped guards from entering into the premises along with arms. It led to exchange of hot words between Sardar Zehri and his guards.
On information Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch placed SP City Samiullah under suspension. He said police behaviour was very untoward. Sardar Zehri keeps guards with him owing to tribal enmity.
Thereafter policemen inside and outside assembly premises gathered in the premises. Capital City Police Officer Zuber Mahmood also reached there and held talks with Chief Minister. But these could not be fruitful.
It may be added here that police tried to push out guards of Sardar Zehri from assembly premises. It led to exchange of hot words and scuffle with each other.
Police officers and officials were of the view despite difficult situation they were discharging their duty responsibly. We did not allow guards of senior minister to enter assembly premises and suspension of SP City over this is uncalled for.
