Complete solution of energy crisis would take time: Kh. Asif

SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has urged the country’s traders and businessmen to unanimously formulate a schedule time of closing their shops in evening for sharing the hands of government in energy conservation. He said that the early closure of the shops in a time in all parts of the country would help to save from 1100 to 1200 megawatts power in country, besides, reducing the three hours load shedding of power. He said that the business community should also join the government’s efforts to save maximum energy by adopting the alternative resources of the power usage.

He stated this while addressing an important meeting of the Sialkot traders, industrialists and exporters held at a local marriage hall here Sunday, under the auspices of Markazi Anjuman Tajraan. MPA Ch. Muhammad Ikram, Mansha Ullah Butt, President Markazi Anjuman Tajraan Sialkot Mehar Ghulam Mujtaba and general secretary Haji Ehsan ul Haq Butt were present on this occasion.

Federal Minister assured that the government would continue the subsidy on electricity for the common people, besides, ensuring the elimination of tariff prices differences of electricity and gas. He said that few lacs of people were exploiting the rights of the millions of the people of Pakistan by using CNG gas at their stations. He said that the government was taking the CNG stations as very hard to give maximum relief to the common people.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that the PMLN government was fully aware of the business community’s perturbing problems and was making all out sincere efforts for the amicable solution of them, as the government was committed to early resolve all the inherited crisis on top priority under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. Minister said that now only the PMLN has the capability to pull the country out from energy crisis inherited by the PPP government.

Now, the PMLN would make Pakistan as an Asian Tiger, by putting it on the path of national political and economical stability. He said that the economical stability was the priority of the present government through solving the energy crisis.

He narrated that the former rulers had ruined the national economy by creating the energy crisis in the country through their massive corruption and plundering the national exchequer, which resulted into the persisting worst energy crisis due to the failed economical policies of the outgoing rulers.

He said that the people of Pakistan had made the political future of the plunderers as bleak, whom gave a gift of darkness to the masses, who voted them out from the power during the May 11, 2013 general elections in the country.

Later, talking to different delegations at his residence at Sialkot Cantt, Khawaja Muhammad Asif added that getting rid of the existing worst energy crisis was not an easy task, as the crisis had grown up by the former rulers in years and now the years were required to overcome the menace of said aggregated energy crisis, which had perturbed the life of every one and ruined the national economy. He said that it will take time to end the persisting energy crisis despite the PMLN government has started work on emergency ground to give the maximum relief to the energy crisis beaten people.

Now, the nation would have to show more patience for getting permanent freedom from the persisting energy crisis, he urged.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that the PMLN government has evolved an effective antipower load shedding strategy for giving maximum relief to the people.

He said that the new golden era of national development and prosperity has begun in the country under the leadership of PM Nawaz Sharif and the World would soon see a developed Pakistan. The government was utilizing all the national natural resources to develop the country, he added.
