Concern on drug mafia clashes in Old Sabzi Mandi

Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami JI Karachi chapter has shown deep concern on growing activities of criminals and drugs peddlers in Old Sabzi Mandi area.

JI leaders Muzaffar Hashmi, Laeeq Khan, Nasrullah Shaji, Hameedullah Advocate and Yunus Barai in their joint statement expressed concern on frequent armed clashes between drug peddlers in Union Council number 4 Old Sabzi Mandi.

They said police, rangers and other law enforcement agencies have failed to stop crime and drug dens in the area. They said drug peddlers often use sophisticated weapons freely in the area, which has gravely affected business activities and harassed residents.

They demanded police and Rangers authorities to take action against the drug dealers and criminals on urgent basis.
