ISLAMABAD: A threemember Supreme Court bench was informed on Wednesday that Shahrukh Jatoi, principal accused of Shahzeb murder case, had handed himself over to an investigation committee, which was interrogating how he had managed to escape from Pakistan by committing a heinous crime.
The bench comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Sh. Azmat Saeed expressing dissatisfaction over the police performance in the case. Appearing on notice, Deputy Inspector General Sindh Police Shahild Hayat apprised the court that Shahrukh Jatoi had turned himself in and a probe committee was looking into the matter about his escape to another country.
He sought more time to complete the investigation and make more progress in the case, which the court allowed by expressing dissatisfaction over the police performance, and adjourned further hearing till January 29.
