Peshawar: The Iranian Consul General Hassan Darwaish Wand today called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Zakat, Auqaf and Religious Affairs Haji Habib ur Rahman at his office Peshawar.
He remained with the Provincial Minister for some time and exchanged views with him over the affairs of mutual interest. During the course of discussion, referring to the Pak-Iran friendship, Haji Habib ur Rahman said that both the countries were enjoying relations based on trust brotherhood and mutual interest.
The government of Iran always helped Pakistan in the hour of trial and Insha Allah the relations between the two countries would be further cemented in the days to come, he added.
Reciprocating the views of Minister Zakat, the Iranian Consul General said that Iran had always been given importance to overall development of Pakistan particularly to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and a number of MoUs have been signed with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in this regard.
He thanked the minister for giving time for a courtesy call and hoped that their relations would be further improved in future by ensuring meaningful interaction between the two governments.
