Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Israrullah Gandapur has said that Iran is the only Islamic country which not only first of all recognized Pakistan but also established its embassy in Karachi.
He was talking to Iranian Consul General Hassan Darwaish Wand who called on him in Peshawar. The Minister said they had deep brotherly relations with their neighbour country Iran. Iranian Consul General said Iran would assist Pakistan in agriculture, industries, settlement, power generation, technology and other sectors.
The Minister and Iranian Consul General on the occasion discussed implementation of the MoUs signed during the visit to Peshawar between Iran Governor Faris and ex-Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and stressed the need for cooperation to remove hurdles in this connection.
Provincial Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister said the provincial government would take all out steps to remove hurdles in the agreements made for development schemes between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Iran and he would soon talk to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khan Khattak in this connection.
Iranian Consul General on this occasion invited Provincial Minister Israrullah Gandapur to visit Iran which he accepted.
