Demand to end load shedding at Sehri, Iftar timings

Karachi: Expressing concern on continuing load shedding in many areas at timings of Sehri and Iftari, Jamaat-e-Islami JI has demanded action against those involved in tormenting fasting observing people.

JI Sindh chapter information secretary Mujahid Channa in a statement here Sunday said the government had announced not to indulge in load shedding at Sehr and Iftar times; however, practically many areas of Sindh including Jacobabad, Sanghar and Karachi are witnessing prolonged load shedding at Sehri and Iftari.

He asked the government to take action against those behind this load shedding and ensure smooth supply of electricity during the holy month of Ramadan.
