Demo against 18 hour load shedding in Kot Ghulam Muhammad

Kot Ghulam Muhammad, Sindh: A large number of citizens of Kot Ghulam Muhammad town of Umerkot district staged demonstration Monday outside local press club against prolonged power cuts by the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company.

The town and adjoining areas are currently experiencing 16 to 18 hours announced and unannounced load shedding daily. The electricity supply is shut down for hours also on the pretext of fault.

The protesters chanted slogans against the officials of HESCO alleging them of supplying electricity to the influential people against payment on monthly basis. They said the electricity meters of those persons are inoperative and no bill is issued to them.

The protesters demanded sending FIA team for the probe into alleged corruption of HESCO officials.
