Different parts of country in grip of sever cold

Islamabad: Different parts of the country were in grip of severe cold wave following rain and snowfall over the hills.

The mercury has plunged to below freezing point in various areas. According to the Met Office‚ temperature has dropped to -10 in Quetta‚ -6.5 in Dalbandin ‚ -9 in Qalat‚ -3.5 in Murree‚ -2.5 in Chitral and -1.5 centigrade in Kalaam. The Met Office forecasted present spell of cold will continue over the next 24 hours. Lowari Tunnel and Shandoor road have been blocked. Murree-Bansra Gali road was also closed.
