DIG among 30 killed in suicide attack

QUETTA: As many as 30 people including DIG Operations were killed and 40 injured some critically in a suicide attack at Police liens mosques here Thursday.

This has raised the total to 90 deaths of police men this year. Earlier 60 police men have been killed in several incidents of terrorism while 30 were killed today.

According to details SHO City Police Mohibullah Davi was coming to city alogn with his four sons. Terrorists opened fire on him. He die don’t he spot. His two sons escaped unhurt. Two received injuries. One was serious. His driver was also injured but his condition is stable.

Namaz janaza of SHO city Mohibullah was being offered at Police Lines mosque here today when a suicide bomber blew him there. As a result 30 people were killed of these 21 were police officers and jawans. They included DIG Operations Fayyaz Ahmed Sunbal, 3 DSPs. Identity of 9 bodies could not be made.

Inspector General Balochistan Police Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera confirming the deaths and injured told media that it would be ascertained alter how the bomber reached there and succeeded to blow himself up. He said there was one suicide bomber.

IGP said that war of terror has been imposed upon us. We all have to fight this unitedly. We are not afraid nor would fear from it. He said this country has been achieved in the name of Islam and numerous sacrifices were made for it. We have to give more sacrifices. He aid terrorists are neither Muslims nor human being. They are enemies of Islam, country and nation.
