DIG Khuzdar Range speaks

KHUZDAR: Peace and normalcy has returned to Khuzdar. Bazaars are open and doctors are on duty at the hospitals. Life has returned to normalcy. Attendances in schools and colleges are sufficient. Press club which remained close for three months has opened and journalistic activities were on.

These views were expressed by DIG Police Khuzdar Range Faseehuddin while speaking to journalists here Wednesday.

He said police was carrying out patrol day and night. CIA and police were compiling record of criminal people.

He said Commissioner Kalat Division would soon constitute 50member Amn Committee. It would consist of citizens, social workers, journalists. Lawyers, traders, elites, minorities, teachers and others. It would hold meetings with officers of various departments and would give suggestions for resolution of problems.

He said efforts were underway for improving peace in Kalat, Mastung, Awaran, Lasbella. Police officers have also been posted. Still there are 300 vacancies lying vacant. He said it is not known if Police act 1861 was being exercised or Police order 2002. There are implications. Police investigation process and intelligence system has been disturbed. Concept of accountability has ended. There is need for formation of a coordinated policy, he added.
