Diplomatic President praises King Abdullah’s gesture

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has lauded the gesture of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia of allowing a grace period of three months to the expatriate workers, including Pakistanis for correcting their labour status in accordance with the new labour laws of the Kingdom.

The President, in a letter to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has expressed his deep appreciation for the generous and kind gesture of His Majesty of announcing a grace period of three months during which expatriate workers, including Pakistanis, could correct their resident/labour status in accordance with the new labour laws of the Kingdom.

The President expressed hope that King Abdullah would show further flexibility towards the Pakistani community which he said was positively contributing to the Saudi economy.

The President assured the Saudi King of Pakistani community’s complete cooperation in abiding with the Saudi labour laws.
