SIALKOT: Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) has started the disaster risk training of the local people, enabling them to save themselves from the recurring flood threats and flood disasters by River Chenab near Sialkot here. A rush of the people was witnessed gathered there for getting them registered for this training.
Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) Qazi Azmat Isa inaugurated Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction Training Program started at village Dhalleywali near Sialkot by NGO “ Community Development Concern-CDC” in active collaboration with PPAF here.
CDC Director Abdul Shakur Mira, Muhammad Naeem Akhtar, senior PPAF officials, Abdul Majeed Butt (President Photo Journalists’ Association Sialkot District) and local journalists were also present on this occasion.
Abdul Shakur Mira told that the purpose of this vital training was to prepare the local people to combat the recurring flood threats, in this regard.
