Sialkot: A team of Punjab Irrigation Department’s senior officials led by provincial secretary irrigation Punjab Ch. Nazir Ahmed visited flood hit areas of Pasrur Tehsil.
They reviewed the situation in details for preparing PC-1 for the early re-channelization and re-alignment of the flooded Naullah Dek from Qila Ahmedabad to Tatley Wali village to save the villages of Pasrur, Zafarwal, Qila Ahmedabad and surrounding areas from recurring flood disasters.
Provincial secretary irrigation Punjab Ch. Nazir Ahmed told media persons that early channelizing of Naullah Dek was direly needed to save Pasrur villages from flood disasters.
He said that PC-1 was also being prepared for the project of establishing the 6 kilometers long protective dyke (bund) along Naullah Dek near village Chahoor-Pasrur.
He said that reconstruction of the several damaged and washed away Pullies (small sized bridges) over flooded Naullah Dek near villages Punj Graayeen, Kukka Pan, Chahoor and Qila Ahmedabad would be started very soon. These Pullies were washed away due to the recent flash flood in Naullah Dek in Pasrur tehsil here.
