District West police arrest 11 accused, recover arms

KARACHI: District police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 11 criminals during three different raids within premises of seven Police stations of District West and recovered nine pistols, nine magazines, 60 cartridges, drugs and stolen goods.

A statement issued from SSP District West Asif Ejaz Shaikh said that SSP district west ordered police to arrest and take action against criminals. Surjani town and Site-A Police conducted operations against criminals, while Sher Shah and Site-B police arrested six dacoits and street criminals, Javed, Sajid, Amanullah, Jibran, Kashif and Wajid, and recovered six pistols, six magazines, 38 cartridges, stolen & stanched goods, cash, and mobile phones.

Similarly, Mangho Pir police arrested three criminals, Abdul Razzaq, Wasif and Asif Mahmood during raids and recovered three pistols, three magazines, 15 cartridges and one kilogram of hashish.

In addition, Pak colony and Pirabad Police arrested two drug dealers and recovered rods of hashish from their possession.

Later, SSP Ejaz distributed appreciation certificates among police officials who participated in raids against criminals.
