District West police arrest 21 accused

KARACHI: District West Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested 21 criminals including three terrorists during different raids and recovered arms, ammunition, looted goods and hashish.

A police report said that on the directives of SSP District West Asif Ejaz Shaikh, police took action against criminals. Pirabad police arrested three accused, Hameedullah alias Billa, Arifullah alias Arif and Ubaidullah, involved in terrorist activities and high profile cases and recovered one hand grenade, one rifle, one 9mm pistol, four TT pistols, six magazines, 270 cartridges. All accused were wanted in different cases.

Shershah, Madina Colony, Pirabad and Docks police conducted raids and arrested six accused, Farooq, Noman, Owais, Arif, Waqar alias Pappu, and Rais Khan, involved in robbery and street crimes and recovered six pistols, six magazines, 30 cartridges and stolen goods.

Jackson, Docks and Pak Colony police conducted raids against drugs peddlers and arrested 12 accused and recovered two kilograms hashish from their possession.

Later, SSP Ejaz announced appreciation certificates for SHO Pirabad Abdul Mueed, SHO Docks Asif Jakhrani and SHO Madina Colony Shahid Khan.
