Dr. Rai Niaz appointed as vice chancellor Arid University

Islamabad: Professor Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad, has been appointed the Vice Chancellor of Pir Mehr Ali Shah-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi PMASAAUR. Professor Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad carries a remarkable academic career throughout his education. He got Doctorate Degree in Agricultural Engineering from Iowa State University ISU USA.

Before appointment as Vice Chancellor, PMASAAUR, Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad was serving as Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, University of Agriculture Faisalabad UAF. He joined UAF in 1981 as a lecturer Department of Irrigation and Drainage UAF. Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad is author of more than 90 international and national research publications including research papers, review and popular articles, extension bulletins and technical reports.

A honorary ceremony was held at University in which Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Azim Malik, Dean/ Directors, Administrative, Principal Officers of the university participated and congratulated the new Vice Chancellor on his appointment. On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Azim Malik handed over the charge to the newly appointed Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad.

In his address, Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad thanked the officers and wished to make PMASAAUR also a hub of research activities. He said that improvement in educational and research activities along with educational friendly environment will be made sure. He further said that all the facilities will be provided to students because they are the assets of the University.
