Hyderabad: Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Jamal Mustafa Syed while expressing anger over stoppage of construction work of Library in Comprehensive High School Unit No. 10 Latifabad, Hyderabad, directed the officers concerned to take necessary measures to resume the construction work and ensure its completion within stipulated time. This he directed during his visit to under constructed Library in comprehensive High School Latifabad.
Jamal Mustafa Syed informed that library scheme was taken into hand under governor Sindh package and it would cater the need of students of comprehensive high school and surrounding areas, those who can’t afford to purchase books could get the benefit from the library, he added. He said that the Library will help increase reading habit in students.
The Commissioner was informed that the construction work of Library stopped due to non-release of funds for which the Commissioner Hyderabad directed the Additional Commissioner Development and Planning Hyderabad to get the required funds released so that the work could be completed in its scheduled time. He also directed not to compromise on quality and avoid using substandard material.
District Office Buildings Muzaffar Siddiqi while giving briefing informed that the work on Library Scheme was started in 201112 with its estimated cost of Rs. 25 million. He also informed that Rs. 11.9 million had been released and added that if remaining funds released, the Library work would be completed in three to four months.
Additional Commissioner Development and Planning Hyderabad Lal Dino Mangi was also accompanied the Commissioner Hyderabad during his visit.
