Peshawar: The Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Asad Qaisar has requested the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to ensure early and safe recovery of Ajmal Khan Vice Chancellor of Islamia College Peshawar.
In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister, Asad Qaisar has brought attention to the fact that: “Ajmal Khan is a renowned educationist of the province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He had started his career as educationist and served the country in different capacities. His services and contribution to the country and society is always appreciated but very unfortunately that he was kidnapped when he was on his way to his office on September 6, 2010;
“Till date many videos have been released by the kidnapers of Ajmal Khan in which he has shown appealing to the government and society for his safe recovery but no action has been taken so far by the last government and it’s been three years of his abduction which has badly suffered his family as well as the education community. More important, the historic Islamia College is celebrating its hundred years but alas the Vice Chancellor of the great seat of learning is missing.
“In capacity of Speaker, I request for his safe recovery shall be highly appreciated and encouragement of the masses of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in general and his family particularly please. “Hoping this request would not be blinked Sir”.
