ECP: ECP extends deadline to file nomination papers

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan ECP has extended the deadline for candidates to file nomination papers across the country.

The deadline has been extended by two days and candidates will now have till 31 March to file their nomination papers. The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place from April 1 to 7, while three days April 8 to10 will be set aside for appeals.

The final list of candidates will be released on April 19. Earlier the ECP had only extended the deadline by two days for Balochistan while had given an additional two hours to candidates in Punjab to file their nomination papers.
