Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan has extended the date of making applications of postal ballot to the concerned Returning Officers from 15.4.2013 to 25.4.2013.
The Election Commission of Pakistan has also urged the prisoners and government employees including the members of armed forces who are entitled to exercise their right of vote through postal ballot to send their vote through postal ballot and send the applications to the respective Returning Officers within the extended date to avail the facility of postal ballot.
It is further clarified that application form for issuance of postal ballot is available with ECP’s District Election Commissioners as well as ECP’s website from where it can be obtained/downloaded free of cost.
The names and contact numbers of Returning Officers across the country are also available on ECP’s website. The voters who intend to use the facility of postal ballot may check their name by sending NADRA’s CNIC Number on 8300 and after ascertaining that their names are written in the electoral roll they may send their applications to the respective Returning Officers for issuance of ballot paper, it stated in release.
