SIALKOT: The Jashan-e-Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (PBHU) was celebrated with religious fervour and traditional zeal and enthusiasm in Sialkot district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska , Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils, here, 12 Rabiul Awwal on Friday.
Chief Organizer Jamaat-e-Ahle Sunnah Punjab Allama Qari Khalid Mehmood led the main Jashan-e-Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH) procession taken out from Markazi Jamia Masjid Noor Daska.
All the bazaars, markets, shopping centers, streets and city roads were illuminated and decorated with the Sunni flags. The replicas of the Khana Kaaba and Masjid-e-Nabvi were displayed in the main Chowks, bazaars and roads by the local Milad Committees to mark the importance of the Day.
Almost all the religious organizations organized the Mahaafil-e- Darood-o-Salaam and Naat in all the mosques.
Meanwhile, the Sialkot district police had chalked out a foolproof security plan for ensuring law and order, peace and averting any untoward incident in Sialkot district on the eve of Jashan-e- Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH). No untoward incident was reported from any part of the district, he added.
Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Afzal Ahmed Kausar told the newsmen, here, that the Sialkot police was put on high alert, as the holidays of all he policemen had been cancelled. He said that the tight security has been beefed up in all the mosques.
DCO Sialkot Zahid Saleem Gondal told that the policemen and the personnel of the law enforcing and secret agencies kept 24 hours vigilant eyes on the dubious persons to avert any untoward incident.
DPO revealed that the inter-city police patrolling system was made further effective, as the special police squads were also patrolling in the bazaars and markets and on all the main and link city roads by foot to ensure peace through curbing the menace of the rising street crime.
