Every primary school in Fata must have five rooms, Governor

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah has declared to ensure that each and every new primary school to be established in FATA must be comprised of at least five rooms and all the existing primary

schools will also get two additional class rooms subject to fulfilling the required strength of enrolments in line with the need and merits based criteria.

“I have took it as a challenge and am personally taking keen interest in making this possible”, he remarked. Addressing a big representative jirga of tribal elders of Tehsil Warra Mamond of Bajaur Agency at Khar; the agency headquarter at the last leg of his two day tour on Saturday, the Governor further stated that strengthening of health institutions are also getting equal importance and every possible step is already underway to strengthen the health care services to the desired level.

Besides the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Muhammad Abid Majeed who also looks after education sector in FATA, the Commissioner, Malakand Division, Mr. Fakhr-e-Alam Khan and the Political Agent, Bajaur Agency, Syed Abdul Jabbar Shah were also present on this occasion.

Responding to various demands put forward by the tribal elders, the Governor said, the electricity load management is the problem, being equally confronted across the country.

However, he pointed out, the government is also making serious efforts to tackle it and the situation is expected to be eased gradually by putting the system on stable grounds, he added.

The Governor also appreciated the spirit of the tribal people in supplementing the steps underway to further consolidate the security measures in the area and assured that they will also get due encouragement from the political administration of the agency in future too.

Talking on another point, the Governor further stated that work on construction of three roads in the Tehsil Warra Mamond is already in progress while equally number of similar projects of roads development will also be taken in hand in near future.

Referring to another point, the Governor further observed that development of agriculture and live stock sectors in Tehsil Warra Mamond will remain priority subjects in future too and he will make sure that their viable proposals are also materialized in future too.

He also assured to look into the possibility to establish a veterinary hospital at Garhi Qamar in Tehsil Warra Mamond.

Meanwhile the tribal elders while presenting their demands also thanked the Governor for sparing time to meet them at the agency headquarter, otherwise they were in the process to meet him at Governor’s House, Peshawar.
