Jacobabad, Sindh: At least five people died and more than a dozen others injured when a Quetta-bound rail derailed near Naseerabad, central-west district of Balochistan on Monday.
Police sources said some saboteurs had planted a remote-controlled explosive device on the rail track which was detonated, when the Jaffar Express, going from Rawalpindi to Quetta reached there. As a result four bogies of the train derailed. Initial reports said at least five people died and 15 others sustained injuries, who were shifted to local hospitals.
Law enforcers and railway officials rushed to the site of incident and initiated rescue work.
