Five die in Karachi mishaps

Karachi: Five people were killed in different incidents of firing and road mishaps in different areas of Karachi on Wednesday.

25-years-old Ayesha w/o Farooq was killed in firing of armed men at Machhar Colony in the limit of Docks Police Station. However, Ayesha’ husband Farooq was injured. The body and injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK).

Police said four armed men stormed into the house of Farooq through roof and killed Ayesha. Police said personal enmity might be motive behind the killing. The police registered FIR 27/2013 under section 302 and 324 against accused Haroon, Waqas, Nehar Ali and Aqib.

Separately, 42-years-old Salman s/of Yaqoob was gunned down by unidentified armed men near Alinaabad Malir in the remit of Malir City Police Station. The body was shifted to hospital for postmortem.

Similarly, 20-years-old Adnan Qadri S/o Iqbal was killed in shootout in Jamshed Quarters Road-2 in the jurisdiction of Jamshed Quarters Police Station. The body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for postmortem.

Police had found the body of victim in early morning from the area where he used to live with a bullet hole in head. Police started further investigation.

60-years-old a auto-rickshaw driver Zahidullah S/o Zainullah and 45-years old passenger Farid s/o Ali Muhammad died a when a speedy truck collided with their rickshaw near Karachi Port Trust Ground in the precinct of Jackson Police Station.

Police said victim Zahidullah died on spot and passenger succumbed to their injuries in the CHK. The truck driver managed to flee from the scene. However, police impounded the truck bearing registration number C-3868 and registered FIR against the driver.

Muhammad Akbar and Haris were injured a firing incident in Kausar Colony Nazimabad area. They were rushed to ASH for treatment. Habib and Abdul Qayoom were wounded in firing of unknown armed men near Sindhi Hotel New Karachi. The injured were shifted ASH.
