Five lost lives in separate incidents

KARACHI: Five people lost their lives in different incidents in the city on Wednesday.

The body of a man identified as Muhammad Anwar, 24, son of Jamil, was found from a garbage dumping point near Allah Rakha Park, Kharadar within the remit of Kharadar police station.

It was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for an autopsy. Police said that the body was bearing several bullet marks. The victim was the resident of Kharadar. The police have registered an FIR 42/2013 under section 302 and 34 against unidentified men.

Separately, a woman bearing torture marks was found dead at her house in Qasba Colony within the jurisdiction of Pirabad police station. The victim was identified as Salman, 25, wife of Abdul Ghaffar. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Police have started investigation into the case.

Similarly, Tai Jan, 38, son of Masood Khan, was killed over robbery resistance by dacoits in New Sabzi Mandi area, Sohrab Goth within the remit of Sohrab Goth police station.

The body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem. The dacoits managed to escape after incident. Police said the victim received one bullet in his upper torso and died before he could be taken to the hospital.

Abdul Waseem, 30, son of Abdul Wahab, died in a road mishap. The incident happened when he was crossing a road in Korangi No. 5, within the precincts of Awami Colony police station. The body was shifted to Sindh Government Hospital for an autopsy. Meanwhile, the body of a newborn baby was found at Garbage dumping point in Garden West within the limit of Garden police station. It was brought to CHK for medico-legal formalities.
