Football chief hails cueist Asif’s feat

Karachi: The newly crowned world champion Muhammad Asif will inspire the struggling youths of the country with his remarkable achievement, feels President Pakistan Football Federation PFF Faisal Saleh Hayat.

“With meagre infrastructure and facilities available for the athletes in Pakistan, clinching world title is a great achievement,” Faisal said.

He added that the youths of the country will get courage considering the achievement of Mohammad Asif.

“The other sportsmen will now have a role model in front of them to emulate.”

It is pertinent to mention that the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association PBSA had difficulty in sending Asif along with another cueist Asjad Iqbal because of lack of funds.
