Four killed in Karachi violence

KARACHI: Four people were killed in firing incidents in the city on Tuesday.

Two people were gunned down by unidentified armed men at Cantt Bazaar, Hazara Goth, within the remit of Shah Faisal Colony police station. One of the victims was identified as 40yearold Muhammad Anwar, son of Orangzaib, while the identity of other victim could not be ascertained yet. The bodies were moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medicolegal formalities.

Police said both men received two bullets each in their upper torso and died before they could be taken to hospital.

Separately, 25yearold Arsalan, son of Sufi Muhammad, was killed in firing by unknown armed men near Mosamiyat area, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, within the jurisdiction of Shahrah-e-Faisal police station.

The body was shifted to Edhi morgue after completing the legal formalities.

Similarly, 25yearold Waheed, son of Khalid, was killed by his younger brother, Shahzaib, 20, over a petty dispute in Gulzar Colony, Sector 8E, Korangi Town, within the Korangi Industrial Area police station.

The body was brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a postmortem. The assailants managed to escape from the scene after committing the crime.

The police said that the victim received one bullet in his head and died on his way to a hospital.
