Four killed, one injured in Karachi violence

KARACHI: Four persons, including a woman, were killed and one injured by unidentified culprits in the city on Saturday, police said.

They said the body of a young man, aged above 25, bearing torture marks, was found near Nishter road in Soomro Street within the limits of Risala police station. It was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for a postmortem. The identity of victim could not ascertain yet.

Separately, unidentified armed men opened fire and left young man, Sheryar Abbas, 25, dead near Bahishti ground in JaffareTayar Society, Malir, within the remit of Malir city police station. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for medicolegal formalities.

Police said the man was killed over a personal enmity.

Similarly, a woman Tajj Minhaj, wife of Sheyaz Khan, was killed and her husband injured by unidentified bike riders in Shershah paracha chowk within the limits of SiteB police station. The body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital for a postmortem and treatment, respectively.

In another firing incident, a man, aged above 30, was gunned down by unidentified armed men near Future Colony in Landhi within the remit of Sharafi Goth police station. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for a postmortem. The identity fo the victim could not ascertained yet.

Meanwhile, Manthar, 33, son of Gulzar Chanu, was injured in firing by unidentified armed men near Bilal colony in Korangi. The injured was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment.
