Four more dengue fever cases detected

Karachi: Four more dengue viral fever cases were detected in Karachi on Monday, said Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.

Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh, Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick, said that a total of 403 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province since January 2013, out of them 392 were reported in Karachi alone, while 11 were in rest of province.

He said three dengue patients expired in Karachi this year. He said that 13 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the city and four new cases were reported in Karachi on 8th July

However, five patients were discharged from hospitals after treatment.
