Full security pledged for future polio drives

Karachi: Commissioner Karachi Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi has said more than 0.1mn lady health workers after regularization of their jobs will play key role in polio vaccination, besides other routine vaccinations to control diseases.

Chairing a meeting to review polio vaccination campaign in his office on Monday, Commissioner said government has fulfilled the old demand of lady health workers by giving them permanent jobs in public interest.

Syed Hashim Raza said proper security arrangements would be planned by all Deputy Commissioners in Karachi for future polio campaigns. He said the administrations is trying its best to ensure that every child ageing five years or below could be saved from polio.
