Gas PM directs ministry of Petroleum and Natural resources

Islamabad: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has directed the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources to ensure uninterrupted supply of fuels gas and oil to thermal Power Plants and prepare a comprehensive plan in this regard.

The Prime Minister gave this direction in a meeting to review the energy situation in the country at PM’s House on Thursday.

The Prime Minister said that every effort should be made to ensure maximum generation so that minimum load management can be resorted to.

He also directed the Ministry of Water and Power to put up its future roadmap reflecting the generation plan, requirements of energy fuel and conservation to augment the government’s commitment for reducing the load shedding hours in the country.

The meeting renewed the overall energy situation in the country. Those who attended the meeting include Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, minister for Water and Power, Dr. Asim Hussain, Advisor on Petroleum and Natural Resources and senior officials of the government.
