Ghazi Medical College students demand registration with PM and DC (The Frontier Star (Pakistan))

A number of students of Ghazi Medical College, Dera Ghazi Khan Tuesday demanded to get their college registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM and DC).

They said, the Punjab Government had set up four new medical colleges in 2010 at DG Khan, Sahiwal, Sialkot and Gujranwala, out of them, two colleges of Sialkot and Gujranwala were registered with the PM and DC.

Speaking at a news conference at Multan Press Club on Monday, they said that future of around 500 students of Ghazi Medical College was at stake if their college did not get registered with the council.

They were not aware of the college registration when they got admission in first year of MBBS, adding that after the passage of almost 5 years, their college has not been registered with the PM and DC.

On a question, they said that college administration had been giving them consolation for the last 5 years, but nothing had been done so far.
