Lahore: Veteran politician Gohar Ayub Khan and his son Umar Ayub Khan called on Mian Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind on Thursday and announced joining his party Pakistan Muslim League (N). Habibullah Tareen, Akhtar Shah and Raja Faisal Zaman, present in the meeting, also joined PML-N.
Gohar Ayub, a retired military officer, and son of Field Martial Ge. Ayub Khan, hailing from Haripur town of Hazara district, said he discussed political situation of the country, and also the issue of Hazara province with Mian Nawaz Sharif. “Mian Sahib has assured that he would raise the issue of Hazara province,” he told media.
Gohar, who was the federal minister during the government of Mian Nawaz Sharif in the past, said PML-N is popular in Hazara area and they would make efforts for its victory.
