Gotam Kumar visits Darbar Sahib Kartarpur

SIALKOT: The Indian film maker Gotam Kumar visited Darbar Sahib Kartarpur (the janamasthan of Baba Jee Guru Naanak) near Shakargarh-Narowal here, amid tight security. He witnessed the Sikh religious rites there.

Later, Gotam Kumar also visited the native home of his mother in Narowal. The local people accorded him a warm welcome at Bijli Ghar Chowk Narowal. He recalled his pre-partition memories and exchanged gifts and sweets with the local people, besides, hailed the ongoing peace talks’ process between Pakistan and India.

He said that the people from both sides wanted to have a durable peace in the region, besides, seeking to develop people-to-people contacts between the nuclear neighbors Pakistan and India.

Gotam Kumar also urged the media of both countries to come forward and play its pivotal role in promoting peace and bringing the people of Pakistan and India close through the promotion of bilateral trade and ties between the two countries.
