Governor, CM Independence Day messages

QUETTA: Our elders and forefathers had achieved this country after supreme sacrifices and paid price of liberty with their blood. It is duty of us all to pledge for maintaining this freedom and make efforts for it.

This was stated by Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai in his message on occasion of Independence Day being celebrated on Wednesday.

Governor said it is our responsibility particularly of younger generation to work with sincerity and high morale for country’s stability, dignity and progress and produce the same spirit which was shown during Pakistan Movement.

He said we have also to pledge on this day that we would not refrain from any sacrifice for the security of the country and would adopt such a way in our personal and collective life which not only enhances country’s prestige but ours also.

Governor Jogezai prayed may Allah enable us to serve our country and keep it in its security.

CM: Balochistan chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said commencement of comprehensive process of national reconciliation is need of time to overcome crisis confronting the nation today.

Congratulating the countrymen on occasion of Independence Day Chief Minister said while celebrating the day we should review our weaknesses and lapses of past 66 years and face new challenges with high wisdom and patience. He said without giving political, economic and cultural liberty to the masses concept of freedom diminishes. He said unfortunately majority of people was leading life below poverty line. To change this situation there is need to provide basic facility of life to common man.

Dr Malik said end of exploitative policies in the country is a must and by doing so national solidarity can be promoted. He aid in various parts of the country particularly Balochistan incidents of terrorism have aggrieved the nation. He said we should pledge today we would all would establish peace in the country and Balochistan. He said forgetting past bitterness and misunderstandings a new era of tolerance, brotherhood should be started.

He expressed the hope through mutual consultation and consent we would overcome our problems and succeed in beginning new journey of peace and progress very soon.
