Peshawar: The Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar has said that the special compensation amount to the tune of a total of Rs.6 million have been delivered to the Political Agent of Khyber Agency for further disbursement to the affected families of the Bara incident.
Similarly, he added, the administration has also been instructed to take necessary steps for holding grand tribal Jirga to look into the possibility for opening of Bara Bazaar.
He was talking to a representative Jirga from Bara which called on him under the leadership of the MNA from Khyber Agency and the former Federal minister, Hameedullah Jan Afridi and the President of PPP, FATA and the ex-Federal minister, Malik Waris Khan Afridi at Governor’s House, Peshawar on Tuesday.
The Governor said that he himself equally feel shocked because of the Bara incidences like the respective people. We, as a nation, he added, are in a war like situation wherein possibility of occurrences of such like incidences though cannot be over sighted, yet, he added, the recent situation in Bara was seriously taken into account. He also asked the tribal elders to come forward courageously and join hands with the government for bringing normalization within shortest possible time.
He said that it is utmost desire of the government to bring peace and normalcy in FATA and also taking steps to make this possible. People’s support and cooperation is must for ensuring peace and normalization in FATA and we hope that they will be in forefront in this respect, he added.
The Governor stressed the need for making joint efforts on part of political administration and the people of FATA for seeking solution to the confronting difficulties. He further stated that he himself is taking over view of the entire situation and wherever required, he will never hesitate to take every possible step.
