Governor speaks

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi has said nationalists have took part in recently held elections and returned to assembly. It is good omen.

He said this while speaking to newsmen after administering oath to Dr Abdul Malik Baloch as provincial Chief Minister at Governor House here Sunday.

He said Dr Malik has been minister in his cabinet. He said he briefed Dr Malik on running the government last night. He has assumed his office today. Formation of cabinet is pending yet. It is hoped he would bring positive change.

He said even after 18 th amendment, Centre has the habit to interfere. When a habit grows older it goes gradually. He said a man smokes cigarettes for 30 years. He cannot get rid of it suddenly. He needs time for it.

He said he has resigned from the office of Governor and not from politics. He would remain in the politics. He said he was not empowered for talks with insurgents not any one asked so.

He said with Dr Malik becoming Chief Minister situation would change. He has taken oath now. It is hoped he would be successful and control the situation.
