QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai has urged Ulema to play their effective role for maintaining peace and order, sectarian harmony and brotherhood.
He was speaking to a delegation of Jamaat Islami Balochistan which called on him under the leadership of provincial Amir Abdul Mateen Akhundzada here Monday.
Governor appreciated services of Frontier Corps Balochistan in this connection. He however added no one should accede to its rights. Both FC and Police should do their jobs and work in coordination for maintaining law and order and elimination of crimes.
Muhammad Khan Achakzai said he was first political Governor after lat Ghaus Bakhsh Bizenjo. He said though resolving people’s problems is task of people’s representatives yet he was doing his level best in this connection.
He said construction and repair of Quetta-Chaman road and Quetta-Zhob road and other important roads was underway.
Delegation drew attention on sacked disabled employees from Balochistan Constabulary. Governor said the matter was being reviewed and IG Police has assured that no employee would be made jobless.
A gift of Tafseer Quran was also presented to Governor by the delegation.
