Govt committed to expand Pakistan Steel

Karachi: Member of the National Assembly Dr. Sayeda Nafisa Shah has said that the soft image of Pakistan Steel is most commendable. This organization which was profitable till 2008 can stand on its feet once again

She expressed these views at the inauguration of the Annual Fine Arts Exhibition held at the Pakistan Steel Officer Mess in Steel Town. On this occasion, those present there included the Chief Executive officer of Pakistan Steel, Major General Mohammad Javed Retd Hilal-e Imtiaz M, Advisor to the Sindh Governor and famous literary personality Fatima Suraiya Bajia and Advisor to the Sindh Chief Minister Nazar Muhammad Gaho and office-bearers of the CBA.

Nafisa Shah said that Pakistan Steel Mills and Steel Town are exemplary projects of our country. The aim of setting up this organization was to have a mother industry which could give birth to other industries and provide support to them.

She complimented the teachers and students of the Institute of Fine Arts on the display of the beautiful paintings and announced the award of Rs0.1mn.

Chief Executive of Pakistan Steel Mohammad Javed said that Pakistan Steel is the country’s pride and honour, the Government is determined to make it grow and prosper and expand further, while there are some selfish parties who want to take it over and ruin it totally.
