Govt-Taliban dialogue committees meets

Islamabad: Dialogue committees of the federal government and Taliban hold a preliminary meeting in Islamabad Tuesday to prepare a roadmap for peace talks.

Special Advisor to Prime Minister on National Affairs Irfan Siddiqui has said representatives of the two sides will hold informal talks to move forward in a good spirit.

He said formal discussions will start after this preliminary meeting.

Irfan Siddiqui who is also Coordinator of Government Peace Committee said we would assess the outcome of today’s meeting and more efforts would be made to carry forward the peace process.
